B/BALL

Unique Mono-Screenprints, 1760 x 440 mm, 2020.

B/BALL is a panoramic diptych of unique mono-screenprints which depicts a memory of an encounter at the basketball court in my local park. The work, made on my kitchen floor, reflects on the absence of energy within the cordoned-off sports pitches during lockdown. The immediacy of the process confronts the atmosphere in the city at the time of making, influencing decisions around colour, gestures and marks while considering the shift in our relationship to these spaces.
