‘I want to capture the connection between human beings and nature’

When you look at the Nordic legends, everybody is fighting for Freya. Giants try to capture her and the Gods of Asgard cannot live without her and they defend her at all costs, for Freya is nature and without nature we cannot live and neither can the Gods.

This I want to show in my paintings, where flowers, plants, trees and animals become heroes in their own right.
This is Magic, when a human being feels the magic and happiness is life. Even though he is in the desert, he is not alone. He sees the sand, the sun, the animals, feels the wind and knows he is happy.
